Frequently Asked Questions
Full Lace Wigs
These are our most popular wigs because each strand is hand knotted onto the base. This allows wig wearers to style their hair to their imagination without any restrictions. Once installed, this wig looks truly beautiful and seamless on your head - it's hard to tell you have a wig on!
Front Lace Wigs
Our front lace wigs are a more affordable version of our full lace wigs. Instead of the entire wig being hand knotted only the front few inches are hand knotted with the rest of the hair sewed into the cap as machine wefts. However, this wig still has ear-to-ear coverage with freestyle parting, so it sits flat on your head and blends in nicely.
Closure Wigs
Unlike our front lace wigs and full lace wigs, the front hand-knotted lace area of the closure wig does not go ear-to-ear. Instead only a small square of lace towards the front is hand-knotted.
If you're experiencing a hair loss or thinning issue at the top of your head, then a scalp topper will be the best solution for you. Our scalp toppers will clip in to your existing hair and can be sized based on the level of hair loss you're experiencing. To best blend in with your existing hair, we highly recommend taking your topper to a hair stylist for a proper cut and install.
There are three ways to attach a Closure Wig to your scalp:
- Skin-safe liquid glue, glue spray, or gel near the hairline to attach the lace
- Double-sided medical-grade adhesive tape right underneath the lace
- Use adjustable straps provided in the wig cap, but depending on fit, movement may loosen the wig cap
We recommend going to a professional hair stylist to get your wig installed so you feel beautiful and comfortable at the same time! Should you choose to install yourself and have questions about installation instructions, recommended glue/tape, etc., please contact us.
When a closure wig is properly installed, it is designed to create a natural and seamless look, making it difficult for people to discern whether it's your natural hair or a wig. However, here are a few tips to help create that look:
1. Blend the Lace
Many of our customers have applied foundation that matches their skin color to the lace near the hairline. This helps blend the lace into your natural skin color.
2. Proper Adhesive Application
Using the right amount of adhesive is essential. Too much adhesive can create a messy appearance, while too little may not provide a secure fit. Follow the recommended guidelines for the specific adhesive you are using.
3. Baby Hair:
Another technique that works well is to leave a few baby hairs near the hairline out to give the appearance that it is your natural hair growing instead of a clean hairline.
4. Proper Installation:
The key to a natural look is a secure and well-installed closure. Ensure that the closure is properly aligned with your natural hairline and securely attached to the scalp. If you are unsure about installing the closure wig yourself, consider seeking professional help. A skilled stylist can ensure that the wig is installed correctly for a more natural look.
5. Hair Care:
Remember that maintaining the closure wig, including regular washing, styling, and proper care, contributes to its longevity and natural appearance.
While a well-installed closure wig is designed to be discreet, it's essential to note that close inspection may reveal the presence of a wig, especially by those familiar with wigs.
